Lifechange Learning Center
WE HAVE OPENINGS
LifeChange Learning Center strives to provide a solid foundation of spiritual growth, academics, physical development and relationship skills– all in a safe, fun and friendly environment. Our Preschool and Childcare Center is a ministry of LifeChange Church- where we believe that with the knowledge of God comes the beginning of wisdom, and that each child is uniquely created by God as a physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual being.
Our Programs
Infants and Mobile Infants
The perfect balance of quality childcare and education for your baby.
Our Teachers know that every baby is a special and unique individual created by the hands of God. We begin by getting to know each individual child’s daily routines: How often do they eat? What times do they prefer to nap? This information is used to customize each baby’s day at LifeChange Church Learning Center. All of these daily routines in our Infant and Mobile Infant program are potential learning moments as our loving caregivers interact by talking, singing, and playing. At LifeChange Church Learning Center, we make it easy-peasy for your baby to develop and grow, building one skill upon another. Our loving teachers encourage early learning through the five senses by providing new opportunities for your infant to touch, taste, smell, grab and listen to the world around them. Throughout the day, you will see the Infant teachers talk and sing with your child during feedings, diapering, and playtime to begin understanding language and conversation. Our experienced Infant Teachers create an individualized lesson plan which includes: tummy time, sensory activities, sign language, story time, and rhythm & music- to name a few.
One Year Olds
Building bright beginnings that will last a lifetime, through play and imagination.
Our walking one year olds are forming their first words, experimenting with trial-and-error to solve problems, and learning to function as a part of a group. In this classroom, a flexible daily schedule is implemented and the children participate in a variety of planned large and small group, as well as one-on-one activities. LifeChange Church Learning Center has four goals for your one year old child: to learn about himself and others; to master gross motor movement; to learn about the world; and to learn about communicating. Each of these goals has several objectives that include regulating own behavior, learning to be a member of a group, learning and understanding how objects can be used, and developing language skills. Our teachers use these goals and objectives to measure your child’s development and provide you with regular developmental feedback using the GOLD learning assessment tool. LifeChange Church Learning Center utilizes The Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers, and Twos to create responsive daily routines and meaningful learning experiences for our youngest of learners.
Two Year Olds
Fostering a child’s limitless curiosity and the natural desire to push boundaries.
When your child is all over the place, they’re discovering their world. Toddlers learn best in safe, loving places where they can explore the world around them as they know it. During their time with us your child will learn to count, discover writing and music, and start building toward following simple instructions in large and small groups. Each day is packed with carefully designed activities structured around six main development areas including: language and literacy development, executive function, social and emotional development, physical development and wellness, cognitive development, and creative expression. Our two year old program has four main goals and 21 objectives for your child to master before entering our Preschool program. These goals include learning about herself and others, mastering gross motor movements, learning about the world, and learning to communicate. The objectives are a way for our teachers to monitor your child’s development and include managing emotions, using personal care skills, showing a basic understanding of cause and effect, engaging in pretend play, participating in conversation, and experimenting with drawing and writing.
Early Preschool
Discovering the changing world and nurturing each child’s progress towards Preschool.
Our time with your child will include learning and social opportunities like simple addition and subtraction and science, movement and imaginative play with props and dress-up clothes. Much of this will include group play where your child will make friends and learn cooperation and taking turns. Each day is packed with carefully designed activities structured around six main development areas including: language and literacy development, executive function, social and emotional development, physical development and wellness, cognitive development, and creative expression. Our Twos and Early Preschool Program has four main goals and 21 objectives for your child to master before entering our Preschool program. Our Team
Philosophy of education
LifeChange Learning Center provides a developmentally based program in a Christ-centered environment designed especially for young children.
We work to develop caring, respectful, and responsive relationships with children from infancy through elementary age by partnering with families to support each child’s growth and development. Respect for each child’s individual personality, learning style, interests, culture, and logic are central to the direction the curriculum follows. Our teachers support each child’s disposition to learn while (1) facilitating their learning and (2) fostering competencies in all domains, including intellectual, physical, social and emotional development through The Creative Curriculum and the GOLD learning assessment tool. Each of our programs are built upon a solid foundation of developmental theory and early education research, and the belief that each activity, routine, or experience is a chance to educate and expand upon what your child already knows about his or her world. This promotes creative expression and the development of vital social skills.
FAITH STATEMENT
We believe:
The Bible is verbally inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings, and that the Scriptures are the final authority in faith and life
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
In the literal account of creation in that man was created in the image of God, that man sinned causing not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God: and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature
That the Lord Jesus Christ died as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures, and rose again for our redemption, and that all who believe in Him are saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ
In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling empowers Christians to live godly lives.
In the personal separation from all practices and influences that hinder a Spirit-filled life.
That it is the privilege and responsibility of every believer to be a personal soul winner and share the Gospel of Christ with the whole world.
